Helen C. Carrico Gilman, 66,
Greencastle, died Sunday in St. Francis Hospital Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in
Nativity Catholic Church of which she was a member. Calling will be from 6 – 9 p.m. today and 1 –
9 p.m. Tuesday in Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary,
Greenastle and the Bunker Hill Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was born
in Indianapolis, where she had lived most of her life. Survivors: daughters,
Carolyn S. Adams, Joyce M. Vernick, Kathleen A. Coakley, Theresa L. Holtgrave
and Mary C. Vernick; sons, Joseph D, Jr. and David M. Carrico; stepdaughter,
Phylis Sams; stepson, Spencer Gilman; 23 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. - kbz
